Wordleis the viral, social media sensation that seems to be everywhere. Everyone on Twitter seems to have talked about this game at one point or another, fromVice President Kamala Harris' having a perfectWordlescoreto James Gunn, the director ofThe Suicide Squad, chatting about the game on his Twitter. But if there is anyone out there that has yet to try it, here are the rules, some hints for today’s answer, and the complete spoiler.
How To Play Wordle
While there are a ton of clones and copycats out there, including aWordlemultiplayer game called Mordle, the original version is currently owned and hosted by the New York Times games. This is the version that the rules, hints, and answers here will be referring to.

To play, head to the NYTs games site and choose thebest starting word to beginWordle. It should contain a variety of letters, including some of the more common letters in five-letter English words, like L, R, S, or T. Type the chosen starting word into the site and press enter. This will cause the letters to change color in order to give clues to the answer.
Players have a total of six tries to get to the right word.Wordleanswers can contain duplicated letters, and they are usually the Americanized version of the word. Back when it purchased the game, theNew York Times censoredWordleto remove all the potentially offensive words as well as most of the UK versions of words. Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time, meaning there is only oneWordlepuzzle per day.
