World of Warcraftbegan its celebration ofHearthstone’s 10-year anniversary, but the crossover event is so crowded that players are having trouble participating in it. With many of its features reminiscent of the Greedy Emissary collaboration forDiablo 4’s launch, this newWorld of Warcraftevent is off to a rocky start.
Hearthstoneis officially 10 years old, andWorld of Warcraftis here to celebrate alongside its digital card game counterpart. From now through March 18, players can defeat bosses based on iconic cards in Valdrakken or each faction’s capital city to earn achievements and severalHearthstonecollectibles and cosmetics.

However, players have encountered some issues while trying to participate intheHearthstoneevent inWorld of Warcraft. Each of the boss spawns has been absolute chaos as fans frantically try to tag the mobs to get credit for the kill, causing Stormwind, Orgrimmar, and Valdrakken to be even more laggy than normal. What’s more, there is only one interactableHearthstonetable at each location. Though players can buy Wild Cards from a nearby vendor to progress the event quest, fans were baffled as to why there was only one such table to begin with.
WoW’s Hearthstone Anniversary Event is Total Chaos
In a lot of ways, theHearthstoneanniversary collaboration inWorld of Warcraftis similar to theDiablo 4Greedy Emissary event. Like the Treasure Goblins,WoWplayers are descending upon Whizbang and hisHearthstonecard bosses in a wild frenzy, making it hard to truly enjoy the event. That said, theDiablo 4event lasted several weeks, while fans only have seven days to earn all the rewards from theHearthstoneevent. Hopefully, the event will become more stable as the week progresses.
Hectic though it might be, therewards from theHearthstonecrossover event inWoWare legendary. Lucky players can obtain aHearthstonedisc mount, Sarge the mouse as a pet, and some fantastic toys and cosmetics as rare drops during the event.

There are more free rewards players can acquire duringHearthstone’s 10th anniversary celebration as well.World of Warcraftfans can obtain the Fiery Hearthsteed mount simply by logging intoHearthstoneanytime before May 14. InHearthstoneitself, players can earn gold versions of their 12 free gift cards and a special Coin as a part of the ongoing anniversary quest, and a card back via a Legendary quest. Fans also have the chance to earn tons of free packs and other goodies on Monday for the anniversary and Wednesday ahead ofHearthstone’s newWhizbang’s Workshopexpansionvia Twitch drops, so players should be sure to get as much out of the celebration as they can.
