Almost immediately, Leenzee and 505 Games issued an apology and seemingly got to work right away,releasing Patch 1.03 overnight that addresses players' biggest concerns.
Patch 1.03 includes a Low Latency Mode manual toggle in the Options menu that"will no longer be enabled by default,“as well as resolution limit adjustments"on select GPU models to prevent unintended performance degradation.“Further, to address performance on lower-end machines,Leenzee has rolled out memory-saving optimization settings.These apply to all texture quality levels on GPUs with 8GB or less VRAM, and for GPUs with more than 8GB VRAM when texture quality is set to Low.

As the developers put it,“these changes improve stability and reduce crashes or stuttering caused by insufficient video memory.“Also included in the patch arefixes to issues causing crashes on startup,as well as"execution stutter affecting select hardware configurations during finisher animations.“Additionally, Leenzee has fixed a bug that players were complaining about related to content rewards for the different versions, and even rebalanced an area in the early game with excessive trip mines.
