Changes are coming toWWE 2K20andBecky Lynch being the cover staris just the start. In today’sWWE 2K20full reveal, it was confirmed that this year’s MyCareer mode would be expanding to include women WWE superstars.
WWE women wrestlers are going to be included across much ofWWE 2K20. Not only are the superstars part of the MyCareer Mode, butWWE 2K20will also be bringing back the popular Mixed Tag matches. Despite being part ofWWE 2K18, Mixed Tag matches were absent fromWWE 2K19. No reason for the mode’s absence was ever provided. Luckily,WWE 2K20players will once again be able to mix and match their favorite WWE superstars regardless of whether they’re men or women.

Also returning after a long absence is the WWE icon Chyna. The last game Chyna starred in was in 2000. Chyna was added to the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019 posthumously, asChyna tragically passed in 2016. It’s fitting that as theWWE 2Kfranchise begins to make a broader effort to include women, Chyna is once again home.
Then, perhaps most exciting of all, theWWE 2K20Showcase story mode will be about the WWE Women’s Evolution. Last year’s Daniel Bryan Showcase was very popular, soWWE 2K20is bringing it back. Players will experience the journey of The Four Horsewomen, which includes Bayley,Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Sasha Banks. The four formed the group as members of NXT, then joined the main WWE roster together and the rest is history.
WWE 2K20is shaping up to be one of the best iterations in the franchise yet, due to its robust selection of superstars and game modes. In addition to the proactive inclusion of the WWE’s women superstars,WWE 2K20is also bringing back the popularWWE 2K19Towers Mode. There will even be a story-focused tower tied toRoman Reigns, who’s sharing the cover art with Becky Lynch. All that’s left to show forWWE 2K20is whether the gameplay itself is great.
