XDefiantis an innovative FPS that brings together characters from previous Ubisoft titles into a single arena. This creates a unique situation where characters from franchises likeFar CryandWatch Dogsfight alongside each other. At launch, there are only fivefactions inXDefiant, namely, Cleaners, Echelon, Libertad, Phantoms, and DedSec.
Unlike some games where factions are purely cosmetic, each faction inXDefianthas a unique set of abilities that can be used offensively, defensively, or for support. As ofXDefiant’s Preseason, there arethree playable heroes in each Faction, totaling a roster of 15 characters.Unfortunately, only one character is available from the get-go, and you’ll need to work hard to unlock the rest.
How to Unlock Every Faction Character
As mentioned above, each faction will have at least one character readily available upon starting the game. To unlock the remaining characters within any faction (except DedSec), you’ll need tocompletespecific in-game challenges.Most of these tasks revolve around each faction’s special ability.
To play as thetech-savvy hackers from DedSec, you’ll first need to unlock the entire faction by either purchasing it for 1,000 XCoins or earning 700,000 XP across your playtime.
