Yu-Gi-Oh!Master Duelsaw widespread acclaim and massive success following its surprise launch in January, with the official client for thepopular card game drawing in millions of downloadswithin the first few weeks after its release. The adaptation of Konami’s massively popular franchise has since been released on further platforms, including mobile launches on iOS and Android in February, and saw the first major update to its card pool early last month. Now, the digital card game has rolled out its biggest update since launch with tons of new content being added.

WhileYu-Gi-Oh! Master Duelhas often been criticized by its player base for its slow update cycle, Konami has taken steps, particularly over the past month, to alleviate these concerns. April saw the addition of the remaining cards from the TCG’s “Dawn of Majesty” and “Legendary Duelists: Synchro Storm” sets while the start of the May competitive season added a new Diamond Rank above Platinum. Now,Master Duelhas officially launched its biggest update yet, adding a plethora of new cards as well as new cosmetics and solo modes.

The massiveMaster Duelupdatelaunched today with two new Selection Packs, “Refined Blade” and “Fusion Potential,” and a new Structure Deck, “Cybernetic Successor,” for players to purchase. The new Selection Packs feature the first cards added from the TCG’s “Burst of Destiny” and “The Grand Creators” sets while the Structure Deck adds the new cards included in the “Cyber Strike” physical Structure Deck. These new packs will introduce several meta-defining cards from the TCG intoMaster Duel, including the powerful “Destiny HERO - Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer” as well as the “Swordsoul” and “P.U.N.K.” archetypes.

Alongside the new cards added,Master Duel’s major update also includes a variety of new cosmetic options available in the in-game shop. Players can pick up the “Realm of Danger” field based on the game’s “Danger!” archetype, as well as two new icons based on popular monsters and a pair of attribute-inspired sleeves.Master Duelhas also added two new solo modes to the game withone based on the previously-mentioned “Danger!” cardsand the other as an enhanced tutorial. The update also revealed the upcoming Fusion Festival centered around utilizing Fusion Monsters.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel’s major update will bring the popular digital card game’s pool of cards significantly closer to that of its physical counterpart while adding plenty of fan-favorites. The new “Fusion Potential” pack looks to be geared towards providing players with plenty of options for the upcoming Fusion Festival, helping players togrind out the gem rewardsthe Festival will surely include.
