First details on studio’s latest RPG

Up next from the folks behindCthulhu Saves the WorldandPenny Arcade Adventuresepisodes 3 and 4 is another turn-based role-playing game. Zeboyd’sCosmic Star Heroineis about a government agent wrapped up in a conspiracy who gets outed as a spy by her employer. When you’ve spent a career interacting with not-so-nice people and your identity becomes public, trouble ensues.

Cosmic Star Heroinewill be up on Kickstarter eventually, but for now, a few details: the game is built with Unity, has (improved) 2D pixel art, and isn’t a parody, though humor is still a focus. Zeboyd is also calling back toSuikodenby letting players recruit for their own personal spy headquarters. That was the line that got my attention, anyway.

“Unlike previous games we’ve worked on, we don’t want to save up news and art for the game just for big sporadic reveals,”writes the studio. “We’re going to be more open with this game’s development so we will be sharing updates, news, design musings, art, and graphics on a regular basis.”
