Including theSkyward Swordremaster?

Zelda: Skyward Swordis turning 10 this week.Look, the official Nintendo account tweeted it outjust to prove it! I know a lot of you out there are denying the cold hand of time, but it’s time to embrace it. With age comes wisdom.

So November 18 is actually the European date for the game’s release. It came out two days later in the US, and on November 23 in Japan. Gotta love thatMetal Gear Solid 2“west gets it before Japan” treatment!

I remember where I was, and how my Wii room looked at that exact moment. I had ordered the Gold Wiimote version and plopped down on my couch to basically play it for days straight until I finished it. It was a polarizing trip that I really had to sit and think about for days afterward.

Now, a decade later, I’m coming off of the remaster with a heightened experience because of the way the controls were reworked. It was fascinating to talk to my colleagues and check out reader comments and see how their perception of the game changed, for better or worse, with the re-release.
